Delphi Report

In 1996 when we developed the inaugural Delphi Report our purpose was to provide a clearer picture of the average investor. The past decade and a half has been anything but average.

Delphi continues to track behavioural change in the market but the study has advanced to provide additional insight at an operational level. There are syndicated studies available that, for the most part, tell us what the issues are among investors; however, there is a real need and competitive advantage to further the understanding of how we reach investors on a tactical level to impact their behaviours.

The Delphi Report provides answers to the following:

  • Awareness and preferences of different financial products
  • Sources of financial advice and the role of the financial advisor
  • Impact of communications and marketing materials
  • The financial planning process
  • Sensitivity to the fee systems
  • Profiling mutual fund buyers
  • Converting RRSPs into retirement income
