Quality Management Assessment Study (QMAS)

PMG is pleased to introduce our Q-MAS research study available to Canadian Municipal and Regional governments. Q-MAS is a syndicated research study that provides local government with feedback from residents in their community regarding key issues such as; service delivery satisfaction, attitudes toward the downtown core, program evaluation (i.e. environment), departmental assessment (i.e. satisfaction with billing) and communication materials effectiveness.

Q-MAS is a quantitative survey administered to a sample of residents in the communities who subscribe to the study.Importantly, subscribers to Q-MAS can also include their own custom questions to address any additional informational requirements they may have. In each city or region who subscribes to Q-MAS, we administer the survey on a statistically valid sample of residents and then prepare a customized report of findings.

The following is a list of the objectives that were used in designing the survey instrument;

  • To examine the usage, importance, and satisfaction that residents have with core services
  • To investigate the satisfaction that residents have in accessing municipal employees and elected representatives
  • To examine the sensitivity toward tax increases as it relates to the quality of service delivery
  • To investigate the attitudes that residents have toward the downtown core and other core areas of the community
  • To examine the general quality of life offered in their community
  • To measure the importance and satisfaction with specific programs and initiatives
  • To measure public perceptions about the government?s ability to attract new and desirable businesses
  • To determine the satisfaction that residents have with key processes/services (i.e. billing, water delivery, etc.)
